Germany: Hop acreage slightly down this year

Germany, the world’s second-largest hop growing region behind the United States, harvested 20,620 hectares (50,953 acres), compared to 20,706 hectares in 2020, The New Brewer reported.

While the total acreage in Germany declined by 0.4 percent, the total yield of 47,845 metric tonnes is expected to be 2 percent higher than it was in 2020.
